Bed bugs are insects that feed off of blood and typically at night. When they are not feeding, they will typically hide in places such as near the piping, seams of couches and chairs, and bed frames. Their flattened bodies make it possible to fit into many places. The bites of the bed bug are similar to bites from mosquitoes and can appear like a rash or hives. The best way to identify a possible infestation though is to look for rusty or reddish stains on bed sheets or mattresses, pale yellow skins that nymphs leave as they grow larger, and/or actual live bed bugs.
It is very important that you seek a pest control service immediately at the first sign of bed bugs before the infestation spreads.
